£60 million for a floating park! Wouldn't this money be better being redistrubted to areas and services that have had cuts.

I would have thought that at a time when people are finding things very tight that this kind of extravagence would have been shelved until a more prosperous time.

Money is wasted on allsorts but that does sound a bit ott when people are loosing jobs due to cuts.

I haven't been in London for a couple of years but I'd be interested to know the political complexion of the Borough where this project is planned.
