Lol. It wasn't but it was usually a "friend" who had to deliver the bad news that the person you had met twice on the local coffee bar (that shows my vintage ) felt that "it wasn't working". How seriously we took things at 14. |

Lol. It wasn't but it was usually a "friend" who had to deliver the bad news that the person you had met twice on the local coffee bar (that shows my vintage ) felt that "it wasn't working". How seriously we took things at 14."

I don't remember ever having to ask just if you had an empty lap for long enough a girl would sit on it and have a snog it was like musical chairs if one got up the girls would change around it was great, was we all slags at our school or just early swappers lol. |

I didn't. I was a bit aloof where boys were concerned. I was more interested in the school work than the students. I found boys to be immature and annoying, so I stayed away from them. Until I met my husband. |

I was shaking like a leaf when I thought I had to kiss someone for the first time. I dodged it until my 13th birthday and it was the grossest kiss. |

I was the geeky girl who was terrified of boys .... nothing changes 
But yeah, it was 'getting off' and no-one ever told you directly they liked you, it was always their friend sidling up and hissing 'so and so fancies you' at which point you were expected to make lots of vomit noises because you had to play it cool  |

Don't think it was a case of asking...certainly I'd not have had the nerve back then to outright ask...more a case of asking someone to dance to a slow song at the end of the school disco and then hoping for the best!!

We had a scoring system:
25 - A snog (bonus points for tongues)
50 - Cop a feel of her tits or "Titting up" as per Mickey Flannigan. If you didn't get her bra off it was "50 over the top"
75 - Fingering. The offending digit to be shoved under your mate's hooter as "proof"
100 - Full sex - Highly unusual back in those days. Claims of this were always met with skepticism - unless it was with one certain young lady. Oh I wonder where she is now. |
