I agree .. few pics and only daytime meets but if you had a profile that I liked the look of.. I would use something with that profile to start my first message and compliment you on the photos perhaps picking out my favourite. I would also hope that you have something in common with me and pick this out too. Not sure if this would start a conversation but that would be me polite and courteous |

But i wouldnt know until I have read their profile. I dont have a message that suits all.. i use whatever info they have on their profiles and as mentioned above .. that is what i would use for the intial message. Get me? |

I'm happy with a "hi" opening message if I like the profile and photos. So I don't spend ages composing epic personalised messages to send out either. They can look at my profile and photos and decide if I'm worth replying to based on those. |

I look at the profile before I decide whether to even open it, so to some extent the message text is completely redundant, all they have to do is not be actively offensive and they've already got my interest.

Forum popularity isn't one of my considerations in meeting someone. I was referring to all messages. People can make their mind up if they like me when I message them based on my profile. It's pointless investing time in the message itself, I'll use my time more wisely on my photos and profile. |

What do you mean by "excellent worded"? I'm not talking about profiles that big themselves up. I'm talking about if someone has briefly described themself and what they're looking for, and has good photos and I fancy them. That's all that's needed. |
