worked picking beans, shop assistant, waitressing, car park attendant, bar, secretary, home dressmaker, graphic designer, admin, teacher, company director, enjoyed em all. The only one I didn't enjoy was temping for Abbey National. It was like a graveyard that office, full of miserable peeps. Boss spent an hour dictating long letters just before going home time and I didn't go back the next day. |

I don't know about best job but easiest I'd say fireman's got to be up there. Work part time and get full time wages! Yes please. And before everyone say's but they put their life on the line. Really.....?
How often do they get called out to house fires??? Not often. Correct me if i'm wrong but they deal with car accidents more than anything.
If they do go to a housefire then unless there's someone inside they only stand back and direct hoses at it.
If there is someone inside then they only go in if the risk is minimal, well as minimal as you can get going into a house on fire.
Now sits back and waits for response |

when i delivered christmas present to homeless kids dressed as santa on a superbike.
all the kids wanted to know where rudolph was.i had to tell them he was unwell so i had to use the bike to get around quickly.
the feeling i got from making them feel happy was priceless. |

Of course it's going to affect people! I'm just saying generaly. Of course I think they do an important job as do the police so don't think otherwise. I was making a little light hearted humour hense the sit's back and waits for reply at the end of my thread.
That said a big deal was made over not being paid enough prior and during the strikes! I think they get paid plenty. Like I said. It's effectively a part time job on full time wages. |
