Jim and Pam over Tim and dawn but suppose there were more seasons for that to develop.
Ross and Rachel, chandler and Monica (less epic of a story but better couple), Sam and diane or Niles and daphne for other sitcom couple who did the whole will they won't they type thing |

Napoleon and Josephine.
He loves her, but she isn't so fussed. He becomes all - powerful and she returns the love but he eventually dumps her and regrets it for the rest of his life, whispering her name on his deathbed.
