At the supermarkets is getting beyond a joke...at this rate asda and lidl are going to have to send me some uniform and a part time contract to sign...its a shame all the till staff are now being paid to stand around handing out carrier bags

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

They should be charging you 5p for them, so it could be worse..

Its the machines that charge...the staff just ask how many you'd like

The asda here caters for the trolleys full off stuff. Personally I like self service, saves me having to make small talk with people, but my preference is scan as you shop.

Let me just get my anti social social club jacket

They seem to be so slow compared to proper checkouts and the amount of time you need a staff member to correct it or confirm age is ridiculous if all supermarkets ever become self service guess I will be shopping more and more local which I am doing now as ques because restricted checkout operators trying to force people into self service means more than once I've left good's in a trolley because to busy or impatient to que.... (mr)

Here and there

Ahhhh my weekly struggle; When the cashier asks how many bags you THINK you'll need, and automatically enrols you into playing some sort of guessing game. Whereby if you get the number wrong and have to ask for more bags, they look at you as though it's coming out of their wages! I've not come here to play your stupid games Morrisons! just give me how many bags I need to pack ALL of my shopping (obviously) so I can go home.. Haha sorry I've been holding this in for months

by the big field

i wish they'd introduce some self scans at Aldi, get fed up waiting behind someone with a huge trolley of stuff when i have a loaf and milk, then just as you get to the conveyer, they open another till and someone with another trolley full of shit jumps to the front of that queue...i could have been home with a brew by then

Agree! I hate doing full shops at aldi as I find it annoying to load my trolley, unload it, load it again, unload it to pack it, then load it again to go to the car, then unload it into the car, then unload it out of the car, then unload it into the cupboards. Just a ballache!
