High Noon is a top classic, the crappy ones tend to feature John Wayne who was more wooden than a giant redwood forest.

Although you chose well for your 'best cowboy film ever' award, you're obviously wrong as that can only be Blazing Saddles

Ned Nederlander, he was my hero when I was growing up I watched his movies, studied his moves, I wanted to be as fast as him. And then I learnt about camera trickery.....

Do I need to go on?

Oooo. ...I love Westerns. Reminds me of sitting on my grandad's knee as a lad on Saturday afternoons. He was a massive Randolph Scott fan...watching him now though, he's awful!

It's hard to beat the great John Ford cavalry trilogy...She Wore a Yellow Ribbon/Fort Apache/Rio Grande but there are so many great Westerns out there. Honourable mention for Both versions of 3:10 to Yuma and Dances With Wolves

Westerns are my favourite genre of film. My great great uncle co-starred with John Wayne in a load of films.

Unforgiven

The Searchers

Lonesome Dove

Shane

Dances with Wolves

Little Big Man

High Plains Drifter

True Grit

John Ford's Cavalry Trilogy

High Noon

The Shootist

Winchester 73

Tombstone

Jeremiah Johnson

Greatest of all Westerns, and my favourite film of all time...

The Outlaw Jose Wales

Portadown

How bout the John Ford Cavalry trilogy.

Fort Apache

Rio Grande

She wore a yellow ribbon.

Each one a classic. But for a real rib tickler try, A million ways to die in the West. You'll snort your tea down your nose lol x

I am a huge Western fan.

Once Upon a Time In Ihe West, Paint Your Wagon (lol) Calamity Jane etc but True Grit (the original) has to be the best.
