I seem to remember that one cost so much it esentially bankrupted the state. Not that it worked at keeping out the Manchus raids and they ended up inviting then in to clear out rebels and they decided to stay to run the country. |

Don't bother; plenty of illegal Mexican migrants who will build it for a song and a dance, or for a dollar a day
Just gotta make certain that they build it whilst standing on the Mexican side; otherwise they will claim citizenship on the basis of their close 'family ties' with an American brick  |
