Two part question:
1. has anyone used candles in a travelodge and did they set off the smoke alarm?
2. where can I get candles which drip a reasonable amount of wax? - all mine are non dripping types.

put a sock over the fire alarm.
remember to take it down,next morning.  |

use a showercap over the smoke detector but as said dont forget to take it down when ur leaving.
go for plain cheep household candles, the beeswax ones and scented ones burn hotter hun
