There are many without food, shelter, and clean drinking water. Residents are going without heat for the winter, health care for the sick, and proper education for children. STOP SENDING MONEY OVERSEAS. We have people here that lack basic human needs....STOP THE INSANITY!  |

dont send money to scotland either, we are outside england,they are poor and have low life expectancies...
ON another note, easy to pass judgement for what some might say is a poor country(we know money gets sapped by those in power everywhere) however when we are discussing compassion to fellow human beings, u cannot just sit there making statements about britain being a third world country, especially lets say when ur a 6year old child fighting for daily survival, whether the child is a different race creed or religion.believe me i'd like to help lots of people if i could, and especially IF i knew my money was going more directly to the recipients.BUT please, dont lose compassion for patriotism.
And indeed my father (white scottish) has been all over the world and helped in certain countries where they have had such problems.

Dont get me started on basic human needs.
Ok you have got me started. There is NOONE in this country that needs to go with out basic human needs. However, it does depend on whose school of thought you are talking about.
Its the same as povety. Relative poverty and absolute povety. Noone in this country needs to live in absolute poverty. How can anyone start to make a comparison. If people opened their eyes and saw how others lived in some countries they might think twice and realize how damn lucky we are.

agreed: think some people forget that NOT every person has even seen money, we are talking about survival at its basic form,it has nothing do do with people wanting free meal tickets...possibly just a meal(and we aint talking ur 5aday!) a day and a drink ffs!!! |

Ive yet to meet anyone in this country, who from the age of three has started to take on the family task of walking up to 5 miles aday to get the family water. Where large families live in one room (if there lucky) without enough for one daily meal to feed the family. Where children are fed at school as it will be the only food they see that day. |
