It's horrible cos you know it happened and now I'm gonna spend all night now thinking about it.
I'm soppy as well, and now I'm thinking that I want a mans chest to lay on! |

I stumbled across a documentary about the it on youtube a few months ago. Fairly old and first time I had seen it. It interviewed 4/5 families who were on the various islands at the time. It was a very difficult watch. |

"Just watched the impossible, the film based on the tsunami, in absolute bits here, all sad and crying on my own ffs"
I had to turn it off as soon as the tsunami struck, although I was not involved in any way with the event itself. It upsets me to remember the stories from that time that were in the news. So, so sad. Couldn't bare the thought of reviewing those sorts of emotions. |

Good film but sad, I actually.went to the Maldives about 4 months after it happened and the spirit of the people there was amazing most the workers were from southern India and sri Lanka and were so grateful that people hadn't cancelled their hols. I was meant to go to sri Lanka for a week of it but they hadn't fully built the hotel I was due to stay at. |

I went to Sri Lanka two years afterwards and went on the memorial train journey. A memorial to what was I think the worst train disaster in the world technically, due to the train being washed off the tracks. There were graves everywhere, many nationalities. Very sombre. Very emotive. Each grave had a flag of the nationality of the deceased. Still makes me sad to think about it. |
