Happened last week but still getting on my tits, I applied for a job in an office, just doing admin work, you didn't need any experience so I thought great way to learn using the limited skills I have,
Popped online to check their website out and get some background info, saw they had a twitter page... the boss of the company was basically using it like her own personal account:
'First interview done but no book keeping experience (didn't ask for any on the ad)... interview questions.....do you check Facebook out before an interview, we do!....'
Was told they would call either way, heard nothing back and I looked on Sunday as their page was still up on my phone and then I find out the new employee was starting Monday!
Not to mention 'busy day meeting clients, I'm not emotionally drained, frustrated and relived' not being funny but if I was their client I'd go elsewhere!!
I'm aware firms check social media out beforehand but they don't have to broadcast the fact!
Sorry wound me up!

I deliberately hide Facebook from searches and remove my current company from there and block everything
It stops potential work people having a look
My professional profile is another social network, and I hate to say whilst the tweet wasn't great, I do have a look at staff that i employee not that it makes a differnace but just want to see if they hide profile or not |

I'm not worried about employers searching for me, I'm angelic!!
I was just a little shock to see them using their social media account the way they did!
Apologies for it not being a short rant lol
