I've just managed to swim 50 lengths, that's 1250 metres and I'm so chuffed and proud of myself! So after much self congratulation I wondering what you lovely folks have done recently to make yourself feel proud?

I'm sorry OP! Congrats! I'm not much of a swimmer myself but my boss tells me about his swimming exploits. That takes some doing!

I think of it as resistance training, I'd use the rest of my body hair too but the last time I did that the life guards thought a dog had got in

Well done! I've not been swimming for a while as I had an ear infection but about 6 months ago I could barely do 10 lengths so I can totally understand how much you've had to push yourself

I do a variety of strokes in rotations of 10 to vary the impact up to 30 lengths then front crawl after that

It funny never thought I would enjoy it but find myself looking forward to running ... A big well done with the swimming I love swimming the feeling of being in water it is amazing...Swam from a very early age owing to my dad believing in the sink or swim method and being dropped in a pool at 1.5 yrs loved it ever since
