I wear glasses, and hate them far more than anybody else could dislike me for wearing them!
Looking at your profile, I'd be far more concerned that you don't appear to have a head ( 3rd pic down) |

How many is a few? Ive never once known it to be a deal breaker for a man or woman. But then do your glasses suit your face, do you mention you wear glasses? If you send a clear face pic they will see you wear glasses. You dont have to mention it. Who brings the subject up? |

No worries there that seemed to be a good idea at the time |

Well I'd say 4 or 5 people but it may be a convenient reason because the think I'm a vicar. |

Never been an issue here, no one has said they font want to meet us because of H's glasses, plenty of other reasons to do with me though. Meh. Perhaps I should put a pick up of me in my reading glasses, but I do look a bit like Pengold from DangerMouse in them so perhaps not

"Did they actually say, they won't meet you because you wear glasses?
Or, are you guessing that's the reason?" see i find it hard someone has been on the site a week as a single guy and had enough replies back to be rejected 4/5 times because of wearing glasses |

Really? They've specifically said the glasses were a deal breaker? I rather like a guy in nice glasses, and there are previous threads with people saying the same (although in fairness mostly about women)
And I take mine off when things start heating up anyway so don't understand why it would be an issue for a lot of people. |

OP, there may be an issue with some. Our experience is as follows:
Pink has worn glasses since childhood and was teased etc for it at school.
A while back we attended a swingers club (Decs in Somerset) one of the regulars called Pink 'Specky four eyes' mid way through the evening. Pink was angry and upset. No action was taken by the organisers despite them being aware of what happened so we left.
In our experience this childish playground type behaviour is all to common and prevelent amongs some; despite being completely unacceptable.

I've never had any rejection because i wear glasses and i wouldn't turn someone down for that reason either.
The only problem i have found is a clash of specs when snogging. Easy enough to remedy - one or both just take them off |

"I'd only turn someone down for wearing glasses if the glasses were really shit.
Brilliant. Now I'm going to have performance anxiety at the opticians..."
Haha, well I can state it's never happened yet. Although I'd probably turn me down on the basis of my glasses |

Not a turn on per se but I had a hot one once and it was a turn on in that case |

Well maybe it was me bing a little like a kid in a candy shop after first discovering fab.
More fool me but I guess it's because I've only just started needed glasses and if I told you what my job was you'd wonder how I got away with it for so long |

I wouldn't turn someone down for having glasses.
Although if they were the size of your average solar panel per lense.
I'd respectfully ask to remove them immediately |

I'm utterly amazed that adults behave like that. So childish and unnecessary, not to mention hurtful. |

We were shocked and very disappointed. Sadly this type of behaviour seems to be more common than we would have thought. |

I keep hoping to find the optician we use on here, he's gorgeous and has a fantastic accent. Not saying I may be predictable but G had an eye test with him recently and as soon as he came out asked if I thought he was fabbable. |

My Optician is gorgeous. I just repeat "Don't kiss her, don't kiss her, don't kiss her" in my head while she does her job.

That's the first I've heard of that. With a face like mine we tend to find people with dodgy eyesight a blessing
I suspect they just didn't fancy you, and latched on to the first excuse they could think of. I'd definitely redo your face-pic without the dog-collar though, I can see how people might find that a little weird.
(Personally I spotted that the shirt-collar wasn't right for a real vicar... )

I find glasses can be a nuisance sometimes, you take them off, can't find them, then you sit down and find they're a real pain in the bum ..... ah!!! Found them! Of course they do have magical properties of a kind, when I take them off I don't look quite so wrinkled in places. |

Whether or not I wear my glasses doesn't make a blind bit of difference to whether or not people fancy me. I've been vacillating between glasses and lenses since I was a teenager and think I look OK both ways. |
