Hi fabbers,
I've just returned from a weekend in Amsterdam. The first time since my last visit 20yrs ago. I was eager to show my friend the red light district, but when we got there I was not ready for how uncomfortable I felt. I'm not prude, but seeing these women in the windows made me think of everything but sex. It was like walking through a museum of horrors. Now I know some of these women are empowered, self-employed entrepreneurs, but that didn't stop the queasiness.
Any thoughts? Intelligent or at least funny responses, please. |

It's been a while since I've been but I don't remember it that way. I was much younger when I went though so it would be interesting to see how my perception of the place has changed now I've seen a little more... |

"I didn't either until last weekend. My advice, keep the memories."
I am planning on going back but with my go and I won't be burning money in the red lights like it's going out of fashion this time. I will probably pass through for a look though and see what's happening there... maybe with a more subjective eye this time |

"Is the clog wearing mouse still in residence at the windmill
Where?
Right there
On the stair ?
Yes, the little one
There on the stair right there."
What's he doing? |
