"So .. Ghosts. Are they among us!?
No"
Ah, but there are more things in heaven and earth .... stuff we can't explain, for which there's no logical explanation.
Twenty years ago I had a horrible premonition which I didn't immediately understand but which made me feel sick at the time and even worse when it took on a tragic relevance an hour or so later ...
... it's hard for me to relate this because the last thing I'd ever want to do is be disrespectful or cause upset but around 20 years ago I went to my then 5 year old child's class assembly and as I went into the hall the thought that all the kids sitting there would be 'sitting ducks' if someone 'wanted to shoot them' suddenly came into my head. I don't know *why* I thought that but I was obviously disgusted at myself and sat there watching these children feeling very disturbed at such a notion, and why on earth that would have occurred to me, as anyone normal would.
I went home, actually phoned my mum because I felt shook up by what I felt and then the appalling news of Dunblane broke over the next couple of hours.
I still don't know what to think ... that thought *wasn't* normal, obviously, and seems one heck of a co-incidence. I actually felt very guilty a long time after because in retrospect it did feel as if somehow I'd had a warning but without detail there was nothing I could do and I'm sure I'd have been seen as a nutter had I tried to explain to any authority.
I've experienced other 'woo' stuff but don't want people to think of me as any weirder than they already do ... |

Strange isn't it? Not quite on the same scale but I've often (more often that would suggest mere coincidence) started thinking about an old song in my head that I've not heard for years, then 5 minutes later it comes on the radio! |

My take on death and the 'tunnel of light' people often talk about on near-death experiences?
I think it's oxygen deprivation to the brain causing hallucinations and a feeling of serenity.
Personally I think death means death. There is no other world or other plane that people / spirits / your soul goes to.
But I respect those who have alternative views. I guess we'll never know for sure until that day finally comes .. |

Yes and I often got to the local spiritlist church.
Thursday early morning I woke covered in sweat from a bad dream. I had dreamt my dad had had a heart attack. In the dream I was shouting at my bro that he can't of done as he's just had a new heart n is all better now.
Thursday eve my mum calls to tell me that my uncle had died. My bro n uncle have the same name.
This isn't the first time this has happened to me and I'm always greatful to spirit for these little warnings and messages. Xxx |

Sorry to hear of your uncle.
Is a dream evidence of ghosts though? Or some other subconscious phenomena? |

I'm not superstitious and I don't believe in ghosts. I do believe there's so much more in the world than we currently understand, and that the brain's ability to deceive itself and accept suggestion without realising it is enormous and quite terrifying - and this is what accounts for ghost sightings and the like. |

The question shouldn't be so you do or don't you belive but what good are these premonitions?.
Do we act on all these premonitions or just the odd one, how many turn out even remotely accurate, what good wouldn't come out of acting on them? ....
.
The only point of science comes from predictive capabilities of something that could benefit people!!.... Even if it could be true, which all the evidence says it isn't..... What can you use it for? Nothing, it's just a big fat waste of fucking time and I ain't got time to worry about stuff that's a big fat waste of fucking time...... So i don't |

Nobody ever sees neandathal cave peoples spirits wandering around, I reckon they must have all passed on through leading very good life's....... Err what... They all butchered each other for 200,000 years oops, errr well God probably let them off for being err Neanderthals and not having the teachings of Jesus to guide them ... Wait, how's that work with the whole Adam and eve thing... Oh well let's just say we all have spirits and leave it at that... Mines jack Daniels please |

A few years ago we went out on new years eve and came home to find our set of stacking saucepans in the middle of the kitchen floor all touching with the handles facing outwards in a triangle and the glass lids in between. All very neatly and precisely placed.
Only two people besides us had a key. One of them was out with us and the other was in a different country. We definitely sobered up pretty quickly! ! |
