How many kids will knock on your door tonight.
Are you prepared or will you be locking the doors and turning off the lights
I personally think it's wrong for kids to knock on doors when all you want it a quiet night without hassle
Bahhhh humbug |

I'll go out with mine early, so I'm back to give out treats for the other kids. I won't expect many as I didn't have many last year.
I don't go to houses that don't participate, it's pretty obvious which ones don't. |

I've missed the Halloween in my new house last year so no idea how many trick or treaters we will get, but have sweets at the ready!
Mine is too old for it now but I love seeing all the little ones dressed up and having fun. |

Personally, I'd very much like to be knocking your door asking for a treat |

"I'm feeling really mean now, after reading all the replies! "
When mine were babies I stuck a note on the door saying no knocks after 7, baby sleeping. All respected it. |

I think the "caution minefield" sign puts them off coming to my door....but just in case some do pluck up the courage I have a Jimmy Saville doorbell "now then, now then who wants a treat from Jimmy?"...after all, some monsters are real... |

Can't stand halloween. We rarely get anyone come to the door now cus we don't answer it around halloween. My kids were never interested in it when they were young thank goodness. |

Always go trick & treating but only in my neighbourhood & only those houses that have a pumpkin out / light on. I'm fortunate that the majority join in & make it a fun night for the kids. |

My daughter and one of my boys are going to their friends and my eldest isn't interested any more. Win, win That sounds really miserable but I do have 3 pumpkins, a ghost and a spider Web decorating my porchy bit and obviously loads of sweets to give out. We don't usually get many people here though! |

We've got a bowl of sweets,
I was very tempted this morning while listening to thriller in the car to go mad on the house outside but as it's just ads and I, as our team of kids are at there various homes, seemed a bit pointless...plus we have no idea the level of kids activity at the door tonight, we either won't have enough sweeties or ads will be picking all night lol

I was never one for Halloween until my daughter began asking to go out Trick or Treating.
I must admit I dreaded going out - I was new to the neighbourhood and not particularly settled at the time. What I found when we did go out was something that I had thought missing from the area - a sense of community. Not everyone answered their doors but those who did were so lovely to my tiny child in her funny little costume, that it brought a lump to my throat. I now say hello to many of those people when I see them around and we go out proudly every year!
There'll be plenty of treats available at this house
