"Haven't seen one for years wondered if kids still made them. "
There were a few kids with a 'Guy' on a wheelbarrow last year round my way......they were polite and accompanied by a parent so it was 50p each....

round here the kids usually tumble a tramp into a cart and wheel him around; they split the profits and the tramp buys special brew whilst the kids buy crack....
... that doesn't work because I live in Devon...
...Usually we just burn the vicar... now that works! |

Saw a lovely story on the news a couple of days ago about kids collecting penny for the guy.
They had collected quite a bit of money, then went into town, saw a homeless guy and bought him food and drink with their money.
Heartwarming to see. Xx |

Yeah but here's the thing......
If it's traditional to make a Guy in the image of a public figure you'd like to see burnt at the stake,,,,,
Who's your going to look like this year..? |

"I've seen one or two over the years. They are generally footballs on jumpers. ...... kids don't even know who guy fawkes was. "
I agree. The tradition is being lost which is a shame. It's now 'Bonfire Night' rather than 'Guy Fawkes Night'. The celebration at Lewes always has some good things to burn though. |
