with everything happening here and me drinking on a work night (ouch my head)
forgiveness
do you forgive easily and give another chance (vanilla and swinging)
and forget
after you have forgave do you forget or do u always remember it
i forgive occasionally but never forget |

I think that you can forgive the errors and mistakes that people do, but forgetting never goes away and your trust for that person will never be in the same light as it was before. |

Sums me up to a tee.
People can make mistakes and do twatty things.... I am more inclined to give them a second chance.
When people use venom and spite... I will neither forgive nor forget.

I tend ta give three chances and then that's it
I have given more occasionally and also less occasionally
At the end a the day we only human
As fa forgetting it depends entirely on the severity of the wrong xx |

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.
But hurt me or my friends and I find it difficult to forgive. People say I'm a good friend but a lousy enemy.
I don't believe in revenge but do believe in the adage what goes round comes round |

I never forget if someone has hurt me. It all depends on whether I'm ready to let things lie if its beneficial to me. However I am no fool and I may act as if its all rosy but inside I'm guarded and alert.
I don't do revenge, it gives no pleasure. Done that in a previous relationship and would never stoop so low again, though I'm glad to say my revenge only hurt him (well and me as my conscience stopped me sleeping for a while), but I'd never deliberately hurt innocent parties. I learnt a lesson in that I neednt have done anything. Grass is never really greener on the other side is it, its an illusion from a distance. The texts I get asking to meet 'for a coffee' and me refusing cos I'd never go there again are sweeter revenge than the destructive kind  |

i could easily have been bitter and feeling revengeful when my ex left me, because what he did to me was unforgivable but i decided in the very early days after he left not to waste my extremeley precious energy at that time on any form of negativity ... so i just threw him away and moved on with my life...that decision gave me so much power over the rest of my life ,im so glad i made it . so i would say yes im a forgiver and a forgetter ...... |

Depends on the severity on what has been done or said, I am very laid back and easy going, but will defend myself,family and friends if i have to. Mostly I will give people another chance. Ive never felt the need to seek revenge on anyone. |

I wouldnt say im a forgiver or a forgeter, i just don't spent precious time looking back, it just makes you remember not to choose the same type in the future |

i tend to forgive honest mistakes but if they have been spiteful or intentional then that is not the norm for me to forgive.
as for forgetting i once waited 15 yr to get revenge - and the person will never forget it either |

i think we should remember,or else how do we learn from the past.
There are a couple of people i will never forgive,however i try not to allow their behavior to impact on me now.I wish i could forgive them,particually one who i believe acted in many ways unintentionally,and hope it will come.But i don't loose sleep over it. |

Frocks, I think you sum up how a lot of people feel, including me.
people make mistakes, and accidents happen, but vindictiveness and spite are causing harm by choice, and that gets neither forgiven or forgotten.
I believe in Kharma. It's not quick justice, but if you're nasty  , it will get you eventually. |

My mantra is: Fuck me over once, more fool you - fuck me over twice, more fool me.
More often than not I don't give second chances as I see something that I felt was real and deeply committing has become tainted and shallow.
I don't accept apologies as people are only sorry after they've been found out. If they were truly sorry they'd never have shafted you in the first place.
I guess I'll know if Siren is my ideal partner when I'm on my death bed 40-50 years from now. If she's sitting there beside me I'll know she was the one. |

I normally give a second chance depending on what happened, if someone was spiteful or just plain nasty then they have no chance.
When were good no one remembers, when were bad no one forgets, that's people for you |

I hunt them down for the dogs they are and then wreak my righteous wrath upon the next 12 generations of their family until their very name has been expunged from history and memory.
Other than that I'm pretty relaxed and easygoing.  |

I think it all depends on the severity of what has happened.
If someone "fucks me over" with malice. Then that's it for me, they are out of my life. I may have to be around that person at certain times ie work or social, but that is it. My attitude is that, yes "life is too short" so why be arsed putting up with shit and keeping those people in your life. |

I will usually give someone a second chance especially if there is room for interpretation on what's happened. But I go into things the second time with my eyes wide open for warning signs and if the same happens again, forget it. |

honest mistakes i can forgive and forget easy .made afew myself lol !
people deliberatly lieing ,misleading or taking my soft nature as a sign of weakness arent even thought twice about !wont toally forget what they done but they are totally forgotten about . im very patient and just leave it to karma to sort tem as they arent importent enough in my life to waste any any energies on hating or planning cold revenge .got much better and more important things in life . |
