"Have you ever tried to message the best ever profile in the world but the age range is a year out to send a message?
How annoying is that lol"
No. Have you? |

It may be the best profile to you - but you're not to them as you're too old / young (delete as appropriate) .. hence the filters!
Some lithe 18 year old might well look stunning to me but I'm quite sure they wouldn't want Grandad Berks lusting after them! Where do they draw the line?
But I know where you're coming from fella - just console yourself it's their loss! |

"Don't do what a lot of people do and change your age to get round it as then you can't change it back after "
Some people take the opportunity to knock a couple of extra years off each time they come back. For some reason getting around filters that way is permitted.
I have also realised (belatedly) that couples should always put the elder one second

I always seem to miss out by one sex. 'Not looking for male'. How unlucky am I? |

That's nothing.
I tried to PM someone the other day to apologise over a forum post, but I was told I was the wrong sex. So I got Mrs ddc to try, but she got the very same message.
Go figure

... one year out! how often I smirk when Ken Bruce says that!
Shouldn't fab prompt everyone on their anniversary of joining... you're a year older ... so up your age limits accordingly!! |

never tried to message someone first... that might be a lie; I think I may have messaged someone first 3 times..... oh and I winked at Joe so he could send me a message.... |

It's not annoying. Age filters are merely there to cut down on the amount of messages. When I don't have my filters totally on I still have age filters in place so who am I to get annoyed at other people having the same? And yes, I may miss out on the occasional gem as a result. But I also miss out on dealing with messages from those I'm not interested in so in the cost/benefit analysis it makes sense. |
