Would Life Be Easier If Sex Was More Like The Great British Bake-Off?

Derbyshire

In the beginning we both used to love Bake-off.

A lot.

We couldn't get enough. If we'd been able to we'd've been Baking-off morning noon and night.

But as time went on, I grew less interested in Bake-off. At first we still Baked-off together, but it was only once a week, and a bit formulaic. Eventually I stopped Baking-off completely.

Initially Mrs ddc would sneak off upstairs and Bake-off on her own. Then I caught her talking about Bake-off on the phone with someone. At first she was a bit guilty, but, because I still loved Mrs ddc, I didn't see why she had to stop just because I didn't want to Bake-off anymore.

So now she's happy to Bake-off brazenly in front of me, or go out to Bake-off Parties without me. Just because one of us loves Bake-off more than the other, it doesn't change the way we feel about each other: I certainly wouldn't consider divorcing her just because I discovered she'd been Baking-off with someone else behind my back, so long as it didn't affect what we had together and it was just a bit of meaningless Bake-off. Nor do I judge our married friend who comes round to Bake-off with Mrs ddc, without her husband knowing. Afterall, it's only a bit of harmless Bake-off.

Bizarrely, a friend once came up to me to tell me he'd once seen Mrs ddc Baking-off without me. I couldn't help but think "WTF has it got to do with you?"

So would life be simpler if we could all view sex the same?

Mr ddc

Cue talk about 'soggy bottoms'

(PS. Just to clarify, we both still love sex though, obvs)

I love this.

I would like to bake off more

But when I do manage to find time I am a star baker even with a right bottom and delightful crack

How can people get so worked up about baking?

You haven't seen my wrist action when I'm whipping the batter

Sadly baking is not my forte... I get the oven to the right temperature, have all the right ingredients and follow the recipe to a t but my baking never looks as good as theirs. I guess I am more of a Freestyler

St Peter Port

I leave mine to prove for at least 40 minutes , that ensures I always get a nice rise.

I think it's because while society has come to accept single people Baking-off together willy-nilly, married people are still 'meant' to aim for an unrealistic ideal.

Even though marriage was designed to be a stable place in which to bring up children, not about who you Baked-off with

Baking is do much fun, do many different re does to try, some with gooy toppings and others with delicious fillings. Who knows what the next tart may be like, the reward is in the tasting.

I usually bake off with a friend, but a yeast problem lead to the baking not being as moist as usual, in fact, it was just a sticky mess, and rising became a problem.

But being the master baker I am, I bake off alone, sometimes I use a recipe video, other times I just use my imagination, but the results aren't as good as if you bake off with others, especially baking off in a group.

But I'm frustrated these days so I might just find a partner to fuck!

Probably not; I can do a lot of things well or competently - baking is not one of them.

In fact, I'd be sunk...

I've been thinking about it for a while, now whenever there's a "cheater" thread I can direct them here for my standard answer. Just think of the time I can save

I'd love to feign mock horror, but this has been said before

(why do you think Mrs ddc limits the amount of threads I'm allowed to start )

Or was that a typo for "old"?

(Just wait till Fab catches up with my real age in a few days time... )
