Your function key might be broken. Are these problems happening when you're touching a number key?

Is your keyboard Bluetooth or infra red?

It shouldn't really affect your router at all.

I'm wondering why we don't have threads complaining about money being spent on computers when people don't have clean water in the world!

Does it make the badum noise asnif xonnecting a new device?

Try and have decixe manager open, see if it does the 'found device' bit.

Could be a USB power issue, tried a different USB plug...had similar with a mouse, plugged that into a powered usb hub, problem solved.

Chester

Your keyboard won't have a connection to your router (unless it's spomething very special).

I'd change the batteries and move the received closer to you!

Also..

1. When did it last work ok?

2. Have u spilled anything on the keyboard?

3. Did you reboot it?

All else fails try this...

Click start

Click in the search bar

Type "cmd" (without the ") hit enter.

In the black window that appeared type the following..

Chkdsk /f

Just like I typed it above. If you don't it right it will give you a yes / no option

Type "Y" for yes & hit enter.

Restart your machine.

It will check for errors and try to fix them on next reboot. Leave it to run its course until it starts back into windows again.

Let us know how you get on
