For myself it's someone who says they are coming to a meet then never show up. The dreamers and pic collectors are easy to spot and I humor them usually out of bordom lol... don't class that bit as time wasting

I've not had a no show yet but then I've not had that many meets either. If I did then I would be pretty pissed, it's bound to happen sooner or later I guess. |

My definition of wasting time is when you have chatted all week to someone with directions of address and what is planned for the evening then an hour or so befire they send a message to say they can't make it

Op - are you getting people not turn up for a social or shag meet? Report them to admin.
If it's just a case of chat that goes nowhere, then that is to be expected - same as if you chatted at a club but they declined further contact.

My definition of time waster - someone you chat too, get a good rapport going, chat on the phone, arrange a meet then day of meet, poof - gone as quick as Donald Trumps morals. All contact drops, no response to messages. If I don't hear 2 hrs before meet I send message saying I'm cancelling.
I really don't understand why people do this but it boils my piss |

As others have said, everyone has differing views as to what a time waster is. For me its someone who you arrange a meet with, take the time to get ready, travel etc then either no shows or lets you down last minute with a poor excuse although I do realise life does get in the way sometimes.
Fab gives you all the tools you need to try to avoid them but I find gut instinct works the best for me, in 5 years I've had 2 no shows to a coffee meet where I would have been anyway. I never go out of my way to travel or change my day to day life for this, it has to fit in with my life.
If you are continually encountering no shows then you are either very unlucky or you maybe need to change your approach to this. |

I've never been stood up in 10 years or so....maybe one of the reasons is as soon as I suspect someone is becoming a bit awkward or even its sounding to good to be true...I lose interest and move on...Works for me  |

What do people mean by take a different approach?
We have never met anyone yet and really keen. We have had our time wasted so many times where we have took time to get ready and chatting to the others and get let down last minute without even a good excuse. Last night we was stood up after being lead on staying out late in town with them saying we're coming now and a pic and never turned up. The same happened the other week too?

I think people suggest that if something regularly throws up issues, then consider varying something, to see if there's a root cause that can be eliminated.
You can never control for other people but we can adjust our methods, in the hope that we deter or eliminate what's not good for us. |
