I had a night out on my 21st, only remember the first 20 minutes and the last 20 minutes because i got plied with drinks and remember needing the width of the entire road for my stumbling home |

18th I went to the pub with my dad and we ran out of things to talk about before the first drink arrived.
21st I went to TGI Friday's with my best mate, we got pissed, I invited my fb to our hotel room and we had sex while my mate sat in the bar  |

On my actual 18th I went to a big band swing dance with a friend from orchestra (geek) but had a party in a local night club the following weekend. On my 21st I had gastric flu and spent the day projectile vomiting bright green regurgitated Night Nurse!! Awesome. |

I got dumped by my girlfriend on my 18th - she was a bit psycho and a bit short, she was known by my mates as the Mighty Morphing War Dwarf. Cant say I was too upset!
21st Went to TGIs with the now ex-wife and the family. Pretty lame and boring really.

I will be 32 weeks pregnant on my 21st (next Sunday!!) And plan to spend it waddeling around York and having a posh dinner at Bettys Tea Room :D my 18th i dont remember hehe! |

My 18th I was doing my mock A levels on the actual day but spent the weekend prior partying in Carlisle then Newcastle. Might have had something to do with my predicted grades! I can't remember what I did for my 21st (and now it's going to bug me until I can)

18th, I woke up in a whole world of pain in a flower bed in Stafford.
21st got pissed with the lads, woke up in hospital with a concussion, couldn't remember how I got the concussion, until a nurse told me I had been hit on the head by a falling TV in a pub.

My 18th involved my older brothers taking me out on Newcastle Quayside. They got so pissed I ended up looking after them.
They did the exact same thing when they took me to a music festival a few weeks later.
I can't remember my 21st, probably very dull.

When I turned eighteen, I went to see Wicked and stayed in Park Lane for a good pampering session and a few too many drinks at a tiki bar. Twenty one, freshers week and I was working with the joys of heavy tippers from Oil Week. |

homemade wine..i even had gatecrashers..that was a laugh..no unruly sex unfortunately i had a partner at the time, however i caught up with a couple of them after we had split..so all good.
21st about 4 months pregnant, i probably went to one of his gigs (musician) the bad times didnt start till later..but obviously nothing memorable ... |

My 18th was spent having a small party/buffet at home and then on to the local club with my friends ...for my 21st I was married and did a party in my own home for a few mates  |

21st - Mr B took me to Amsterdam for a week. Spent my birthday in Casa Rosso and then cafe/bars. I don't remember much.  |

I remember both vividly.
I'm a twin and my parents gave us the option of having a party for either 18th or 21st. Naturally I chose 18th and my sister chose 21st so we got both lol.
18th was hilarious. It was held in the bar of a local leisure centre and wans packed mainly with friend, and a few family. My sister and I both drank the same thing and the bar ran out twice and had to go to the local shops to get more. The following night (Sunday night which was the day of our birthday) my sister and I went out to our loca pub, wearing badges saying it's my birthday buy me a drink. The landlord was not impressed when he found out that it was out 18th and we'd been regulars for the last 4 years
Our 21st was a little more grown up. We had a joint party with our mum who was 50 a month before our birthday. The bit that stands out from the party is my grandma. She was 84 and was the first person on the dance floor and the last one there at the end of the night. She spent all night dancing and having a fab time, I can't remember seeing her having more fun than she did that night. Six weeks later we said goodbye to her as she died suddenly from cancer which no one knew she had. |

18th birthday had two parties organised by parents. On was for family and that sort of thing...the usual stuff.
Other was at local a Rugby Club for friends and ended up in a big d*unken rave type thing.....I didn't go home as I went back to a girlfriends house.
.
21st did an organised coach trip to Manchester club which included an absolute stunner from Leeds who I'd met at a nurses party in Ormskirk two weeks earlier (bizarrely at my old gf from when I was 18 flat). She stayed the weekend with me at my parents. Wish I could remember her name lol....the gf from when was 18 was Jaqui.....still in touch through the book of face.
So overall good memories of both! |

18th - this is terrible but was with a girl who was a virgin ... And the condom split
It was not good - having to tell her and then looking for the remnants.. (you get my drift) it actually got worse because a bit of the remnant somehow got dropped on a carpet and her grandparents saw it next morning ...
21st I was celibate. Having remained so since my 18th.

21st was a more sedate affair with a social gathering for friends and family that my Mum laid on in our flat.

very sad I know what it's like to lose a child as my ex miss carried twice and second time still had to give birth which was even harder to come to terms with as we had to arrange a funeral |

21st was a party at college in Canterbury - also with a band but no idea what they played, then a bunch of us piled back to my flat in Whitstable til the wee small hours. ...

I remember my 18th vividly,it was at a 'posh' restaurant in Corgiville with my family & then boyfriend.

Got absolutely bladdered on my 18th, fell asleep in the pub toilets. Came round, and the pub was closed. Staggered and stumbled around as the landlady kept telling me to get out.

18th nothing exciting, I'm adding in my 19th though as I spent it in Prague getting wasted, ditched the bf I was with at the time as he was a tool ended up meeting a guy from Liverpool and having a three some with a stripper - great night! Spent my 21st in my Prague as well with a big group of friends, no threesomes this time but was a bloody messy weekend  |

On my Eighteenth I was drinking down my local, as I had happily done for a couple of years, with some mates when my dad appeared and tried to persuade me to come for a birthday drink in the village club.
I didn't want to go as they served Boddingtons, which I dislike.
Much persuading later, involving my mates which should of aroused my suspicions, I agreed.
As we left my dad, who was last out,was asked by the landlord what was going on and he told him.
Well it was a surprise Eighteenth birthday party and was brilliant.
But.
On the next visit to our pub the Landlord took my tankard down and rather acerbically asked me "what are you drinking, now you are old enough?".
Not sure what C did on her Eighteenth, she's not here at the moment, but we got engaged on our twenty first, we were born six hours apart but are a day apart on birthdays.
That was over twenty nine years ago! |
