"OP I feel your pain
Had couple of time wasters - you learn the signs X "
Really? I can't believe people back out from meets like that... No one forces anyone to agree, but once you have agreed, why would you change your mind? And why would you not tell the other?
I don't have much experience here, but I hope it won't happen to me

You don't say if you'd agreed a time and place and if you had whether you'd gone there? |

"Who are these timewasters I hear so much about and why are they better at getting meets than me haha"
Which one is the time waster? The one who didn't make an arrangement straight away that a meet was agreed to in principal or the one who refused to meet when arrangements were starting to try to be made?
OP, I can see it's annoying, but perhaps there was a legitimate reason for two hours of comms silence? |

If you didn't arrange a time & a place in your intial contact with him, why is he a timewaster?
He saw you online later & thought he'd check if you're still up for it, I'd imagine anyway. |

That's what I thought too. He's probably scratching his head |

When I arrange an outline time and date for a meet (say a week in advance) I then don't really interact very much with that person until the day before to confirm details and still good to go.
Unless they are on my friends lists, WhatsApp etc and we may chat through that.
Guy sends a "still want to meet" message and you block him OP? Well... I am not sure that qualifies him as a time waster |

If the meet was for that night , I don't blame you . We would do the same .
But maybe if he didn't realise it was for that night , you may have been a bit harsh ?
