So social media has informed me that this is occurring tonight, I shall be out whilst this is taking place, so may have to nip outside and see if it is visible. What will you be doing while this is taking place? |

"In which part of the skies should we be looking, O wise-woman?"
Oh DJ your wise words "google is your friend" came to mind and I used them...
To quote The Mirror "For the best view, pack a sleeping bag and lie on your back looking up." |

I think last night was a good clear one to view it well, even if we get potentially more to see tonight.
I've posted over the last few years whenever we get a major shower and we've mainly been really fortunate to see well. |

NASA is saying to allow half an hour for your eyes to adjust to the dark and they could be visible up to November. I can't sit outside for that long, staring at the sky. |

"Clear skies here, but you've seen one meteor you've seen them all right? "
Oh no. I look at stars all the time. Meteors are like moving stars and I've never seen one. |

"Too much light pollution and I've never been to Epping Forest in the dark.
"
It's probably really scary. I've been there during the day and been scared. It's full of trees |

Can see Orion clearly enough in the northern skies, cloudy/misty to the south.
Yeah.
It's chilly.
I came inside for a hot water bottle and was then chatting to some random guy (nice tits, obvs) about Burning Man.
No shooting stars tho'. Got better shit to do.

Took a bit for eyes to adjust as some light pollution but lots of flashing stars, head back looking straight up, like fairylights on random setting ...

The constellation of Orion and possible meteors emanating from its vicinity "
Thankyou. All I had was "shooting star things". Didn't think it'd help. |
