Does anyone else get the winter blues? I have got them really bad this year already, makes me feel like shutting the curtains and not going out again until spring.

Get one of those SAD lamps.

My missus got one for me last year. Installed it on my office wall, turned it on and a couple of days later felt remarkably zippier.

Read the instructions a couple of weeks later: "Use for no more than 20mins per day."

Try upping your vitamin D intake.

Oh, and also, it's October, you aint seen nothing yet!

Speak to me about it in February.

I've started taking vitamin D tablets in preparation already.

Hate going to work when it's dark and coming home when it's dark. If I have a lay in I can sometimes miss daylight altogether, night shifts and winter suck

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I get a bit SAD so try and get outside for a few minutes around midday. I find getting up the most difficult bit of the day and then needing a nap around 4/5pm. That's not good during a meeting at work.

I always have a mood dip late October / early November. This year it arrived a few weeks early.

Think I might try a SAD lamp

I used to suffer with this before they gave it a name.

Now, because I work from home, I can make sure I get sunlight as often as possible.

It really does make a difference

My mood has dipped.

I'm struggling but it helps with my writing.

Angst riddled inspiration.

I've usually had just about enough by February, the endless fucking cold mud and drear....bleh.

Last Feebruary/March, I developed a severe calvados habit...it tastes of sunshine, honest....

I'm heading your way in November. Shall I find you a little treat to see you through December?
