The views of this student is that tampons are a luxury item, and if a woman can't hold her period in until she gets to the toilet then it's her problem, not the tax payer's.
I'm still unsure if he's taking the piss - pun intended - or really that stupid. |

Don't think he went quite that extreme but was basically arguing they weren't a necessity and therefore should be taxable
