Men and main, public face pics...
Jump to: Newest in thread
I've just come back to this site a few days ago and I'm thinking of just embracing the fact that I'm on here. I guess I'm not that bothered about being caught anymore.
Is there any real advantage of just putting a face pic as a main image? Do you ladies actually care about seeing a face pic straight away? Would it make any difference?!?! |

I love seeing face pics straight off (yeah, I know that's hypocritical) ... I admire anyone who thinks 'what the hell' plus you can suss out physical attraction immediately ... unless it's a shockingly bad pic, or a really strange angle or something ....

Yes, I can see the appeal... It's a confidence thing I guess.
I'm hesistant because I'm not amazing looking (although I'm not ugly) and I guess I don't want to spoil my chances.
I don't know. I'm in two minds about this... |

Well, most people (certainly us) will not go too far into messaging without seeing one. |

I always have a face pic on show. Let's face it you can spend time chatting and getting to see if you are compatible with someone but if you then send them a face pic and they don't fancy you it isn't going to go anywhere. Being able to see a face pic from the start just takes away an unknown and can save a lot of wasted time in my experience. |

I do like to see face pics, if not on the profile then sent in the first message.
I always send my face pic but choose not to have it in my public photos. A lot of people do this.
Whatever you choose, please have a pic of you smiling. It's far more attractive than mean and moody for me |

We are who we are and if you going to arrange a meet there going to see your face at some point. With your face pic public at least you know who ever contacts you likes the look of you. The way we look at it is if someone sees our face on here chances are there not going to say anything to others as they probably don't want people to know there on here if for some reason someone does tell people about us being in here what's going to happen. Nothing maybe a few funny looks at the shops or family finding out. Witch happened to us before we were on here anyway some accepted it some don't talk to us but at the end of the day we're both happy with what we do and that's all that matters. |

I think it definitely makes a difference - we can see if we're more inclined to find you attractive, plus we don't have to then request seeing your face pic, if we reply. So you may get less replies, if your face doesn't fit but that may be balanced out by those who like you and decide to continue chatting with you. You're competing with guys who do show their face pics, so at least you're competing equally.
I'd suggest that your body photos - which are very similar - could be improved upon, if you showed all of your upper body and if the photos were crystal clear. Rather than two photos that are similar, consider switching one out for something different. |

Swinging really isn't considered acceptable by most people 'in the outside world', no matter what Swingers seem to try and convince themselves.
I'm wary of people with public face pics. Some seem to love telling the world every aspect of their sex lives and have no respect for other people's privacy. I prefer to meet people that understand the desire for discretion and don't tell everyone who they shagged. |

Totally agree. But sometimes it's a little taboo with certain careers and can have issues (school teacher for example - get sacked when the pupils find it! They will)
But, the character and integrity of the site is ruined by the sheer number of cat fishes here. Causing many people to hide the face and delay until a few messages have been exchanged, or can see that the other person is real |

We don't tell anyone about swinging just like we don't tell anyone about our sex lifes. People no we are sexual active as we have kids. Just like if we were seen on here then people would know we are swingers if asked they would be told to mind there own business. We never talk about meets or going to clubs. But don't see why we should hide away on the off chance we are seen. Same can be said about going to clubs you might seem someone you know. |

Is there any real advantage of just putting a face pic as a main image? Do you ladies actually care about seeing a face pic straight away? Would it make any difference?!?!"

I think it can lubricate the wheels or add rocket fuel to the process of securing a desire to meet - people viewing you will have overcome some hesitations: they like you enough to progress things.
Maybe it hints that you have a certain inner security too. That can be appealing.
If someone was struggling to get meets I'd encourage them to add pics such as this. |

I've not read the whole thread - just the opening post.
My advice would be keep the face in either friends only or private and send only to those you wish to see it.
So many people in recent months have had public face pics on display in a public forum on a casual sex site and then find it totally incredulous that they get recognised in public, that their children's schoolfriends have seen them naked or they get stalked through other social media channels such as Facebook or Twitter.
It really isn't rocket science.
If you're happy that any Tom, Dick and Harry, friend, family, neighbour or colleague can find out what you're up to, go ahead - post a public pic. But don't come crying if you get outed!
Good luck in your choice OP! |

I like having my face pic up, even though I'm as ugly as sin (this is where you all jump in and tell me I'm handsome lol).
I always imagine someone I know saying "I've seen you on a swinger's site" and me replying "oh really?, what's your profile name I'll message you next time I'm on" if they think I'm doing something wrong, what the hell are they doing going through profile's on here? |

You mean other than a cock picture? IMO once you've seen one cock (or pussy) you've seen them all. I don't really understand people just putting pictures of their privates on their profiles. |

Why would it be foolish? I presume you are referring to work colleagues seeing your profile? You might want to ask if they have seen your profile on here what are they doing here in the first place? To see your picture they would either have to be a member or at the least been searching the site. |

I was first on here with my ex and due to her job as a community nurse, it was important that we kept our pictures private. When I reactivated my profile, I was pretty reticent about showing my face. After a few weeks though, I realised I was sending messages out to people that requested face pics on first message and they could easily be someone I know, so what the hell! I'm not in a job that would require that level of discretion, I'm single and have nothing to hide, so why the hell not. If someone on here recognises me from my offline life, then that's cool, they are also on here so what's the issue. |

That is nonsense xx word of mouth is quick in our area
So mate of son of employee x is on fab , son of x tells all friends down pub , and employee x employee x without disclosing source tells all employees , 4 customers a day hear about it on grape vine and a daily torrent of ribbing ensues
Now that is reality xx |
