Has anyone experienced a negative side to having a face pic as your avatar? I'd really like to, but just want to hear other people's experiences first..... |

Non at all. I've been recognised but didn't know till a message on here as most people are very discrete too but then again I'm a bloke so less of the stalker types are after me than they would you! |

If you're comfortable with it then don't worry about what others say... If you don't want it on public for fear of being recognised then keep it private and share with who you want in private messages |

guys on other sites recognise me and think i'm looking for a fuck there too, despite my profile saying i wasn't.
people have recognised me off site as well (if i go out) but never approached me in person, just sent me a message on here. |

Depends how you display it. I think mine is vague enough for what I want. If you want annonimity it's not for you. Or disguise it in some way.
I think they're better than the usual cock and genitalia pics though.  |

Someone from the office saw me on who's near and messaged me asking if I wanted to fuck his wife with him (never found out who it was as I didn't ask).
People have also reverse image searched me and found out a load of information (occupation, etc.).
But no, I don't really care. |

It was a different photo. I don't think this one is attached to anything important but I did reverse image search my avatar the other day and the search term it came up with was "girl".  |

How many would you like? Off the top of my head:
The woman who worked in the NAAFI who had her pics stuck up at work and was disciplined for it.
The teacher whose profile was circulated round the pupils.
The other teacher who was sacked, took it to a tribunal and lost.
The woman who had men coming up to her in Tescos expecting a shag.
The men outed on Facebook.
The woman who found her profile pics on the work noticeboard....
I could probably bump most of them if you like?

lolololololol I just reverse image searched a guy wanking and it came up with a guy hoovering. I wouldn't take it personally. It's not very clever. |

I made the mistake of using one of my face pics here as my avatar on twitter, some twat searched it and found me there to message me because he couldnt here because of my FILTERS.
He learnt his lesson. And I definitely learnt mine. |

I received truck loads of abuse when I put my face pic as my avatar. I also know people who have been 'outed' when they've been less than careful with identifiable pictures. |

If we lived in the big city then we wouldn't have face pics up, only reason we did was because we wanted pics showing more than tits & arse therefore they would include H's hair and out here that would mean being recognised.. So we put face pics up.
But then our family & close friends know anyway.
We have been recognised several times but each time those concerned have kept a respectable distance & just nodded or smiled..

I don't have much to hide, (work, family freinds wouldn't be affected), but will err on the side of caution for now.x
