Great social life
Great work life
Great family life
Not so good health wise with hospital appointments and an op, deciding whether to have another op meaning two months on the sick bed. On the bright side 2017 should be great after that though. |

"If it wasn't for FAB it wouldnt be bareable. Mrs bike blew up after only a year but at least we're putting her through her full test to get her to ride my bike.."
Only a year old!?!?!?! What bike was it and isn't under warranty still?
Good luck to your wife! I passed my full bike test only 3 years ago and although I loved the experience of it all I was nervous as hell on the day! |

Workwise it's been a mixed bag. Sort of promoted and now manage people so pretty positive.
Personally, I've lost over 2 stone this year and am comfortably fitting a 32" waist trouser whereas the year started with me just squeezing in to a 36".
I've met all my running goals as well - first ultra marathon and various PBs broken.
Sexwise - nowhere near enough. |

I met a man from Ballymoney.
He looked like a young Tom Waits but bald.
I've lost weight.
I'm writing again and have been in a short fillum about writing.
I got a kitten or he got me.
I've made some fiends.
They're all aware of my shortcomings but seem to like me. |

Personally, probably the best year of my life so far.
By most peoples standards not particularly exciting but if you'd have seen my previous 37 you'd know what I mean. Started to finally see my true worth. Friends have been brilliant.
Work's still beyond terrible but I now feel I'm in a position (and the right head space) to finally break away and do something I actually want to do with my life. Just got to hang in there a little longer.
Some downs of course but all in all everything's moving in the right direction.

The suns comin' up and the birds are out singing.
Pithecanthropus Erectus already on the CD player and I just push that remote button to sublimity and listen to the sweet sculptural rhythms of Charles Mingus and J.R. Monterose and Jackie Mclean duet on those saxophones and the sound makes it's way outta the window minglin' with the traffic noises outside, you know...
All of a sudden I'm overcome by a feelin' of brief mortality.
'Cause I'm gettin' on in the world. Comin' up on forty years.
Thirty seven stony gray steps towards the grave, you know the box, awaits it's grisly load and I'm gonna be food for worms.
And just like Charles Mingus wrote
That beautiful piece-a music, 'Epitaph for Eric Dolphy', I say, so long Eric, so long, John Coltrane and Charles Mingus, so long, Duke Ellington and Lester Young, so long, Billie Holliday
And Ella Fitzgerald, so long, Jimmy Reed so long, Muddy Waters, and so, long Howlin' Wolf.

1st half was brilliant & I spent 3 months celebrating my 40th. Then my wonderful man was diagnosed with cancer & I'm poorly too. It's still been better than the last 3 years put together. Next year will be even better |

Pretty grim
Lost 4 pets (passed away)
Lost my ex bf he died of a heart attract in April, 3 days later my friend was killed in a crash. Realising life is too short I've sold up moved 100 miles away bought a house by the sea with no mortgage, and in a few months time I'm going to be a mummy to someone very special.
Let's hope 2017 is better
