well im back on here after being away because ive set my standards too high in the past and think its time to lower them.

Depends what you're after.
If you have a vision of your ideal meet, but they have to meet 20 strict criteria that they absolutely must meet, then the pool of likely matches is going to be lower than if you only had 5 strict criteria.
And then - even if you find someone who you think is perfect, they then need to like you!
Normally I'd say to people stick to your guns and don't lower your standards. But if they're unobtainable standards then I'd say re_iew your criteria to decide which you are flexible on so you're more realistic about what what you want and what you can achieve!

Exactly right. He doesn't meet my standards. Too short too old doesn't drink doesn't smoke and sounds like he thinks he's too good for most people. Not for me at all |

Depends what you are aiming for, If you just want a bit of fun, then your standards should be flexible otherwise you may be missing out on a bit of fun. But if you are trying to find a perfect mate then is Fab the right place for you.

Personally, I don't prescribe to the concept of "standards". The whole idea that someone else is inferior or superior just doesn't wash with me.
When it comes to potential meets on here, we have a simple system. Do we find them attractive? If we do, then we'd be willing to meet.
Although it does get more complicated, as how attractive a person appears can change (either way), particularly when their personality is expressed.
