First single was Tight Fit's Fantasy Island, think first album was Now That's What I Call Music....the first one...without a number..... not NTWICM 745674312897! (not entirely sure that's the actual version its currently on...!)  |

Hate it every time this crops up...as I feel compelled to answer despite my eternal shame that part of the answer (I bought two at the same time) is Long Haired Lover From Liverpool by 'Lil Jimmy Osmond...
...the other part being Nice One Cyril by The Cockerel Chorus...which as a Spurs fan I forgive myself for

Fortunately I grew out of novelty records by the late 70s when I got into music properly.
