Been chatting to someone on here and the subject somehow got to the Carry On films franchise...

Do you have a favourite one or were they not to your liking?

Yes I grew up watching them.

Cary on camping

Carry on nurse

Carry on up the khyber

Just to name a few

Hattie Jaques , Kenneth Williams, Sid James , Charles Hawtrey,Joan Sims, Barbara Windsor. All superb actors and actress's.

I think they should bring the carry on films back , such great lighthearted tounge in cheek comedy

They tried in the early 90's. With Carry On Columbus. Wasn't that good from memory.

No matter how hard I tried, I just never found them funny *hangs head in terribly un-British shame*

I like the carry on films, they appeal to my puerile sense of humour. The Vic and Bob take off of carry on camping was brilliant.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Gotta have been one of the greatest film franchises ever...

It is British picture postcard humour at its best.

My fave has gotta be carry on screaming, just love that scene with Fenellla Fielding laying on the chaise lounge looking sexy..think that was my first crush

Wasn't the best but I still quote from it occasionally. Jim Dale was one of the few remaining cast members involved, so it didn't quite live up to the precious ones.
