So imagine your wealthy enough to not have to work. What would you do to keep busy through the day. I mean there's only so much sex and drugs you can take now you have the rock star lifestyle.

I'd keep bees. I'd take complete pleasure with bee keeping as a hobby. Watching the little blighters work there backsides off and I get to eat their sweet honey.

I've got a thing for Honey.

So what hobbies would you do te keep yourself sane?

Morning - sit on the patio and watch the swallows prepare for their long journey; drink tea and read the papers

Lunch - meet a friend, chew the fat, drink white wine watered down with soda

Afternoon - go for a walk (walk off that lunch) or a ride if I can find a sane enough horse

Evening - dinner with friends or the theatre or both...

Kind of rinse and repeat of that... of course I would also like to travel around the country visiting my fab friends for japes

Maybe start my own little business (I'm thinking nude photography). Try and help others less fortunate. Do lots of studying I imagine.

In fact come to think of it, all the things I could and should be doing right now.

Oh that's easy, I'd fart about with horses all day long, and go dancing or gigging in the evening. But wait.....

If I won the lottery, I would create a gold standard yard/farm/clinic centre for horses with a particular type of medical condition - I've always said I would having spend years in despair trying to find suitable places to keep my own when they were ill.

And I'd run more workshops with amazing horsmen from all over the world.

Sigh.

I'd still want to work but on a voluntary basis, helping those who need it and haven't been as fortunate. On a selfish level, start that PhD. Buy a beautiful house in Salisbury and have lots of rescue dogs and a library filled with first editions.

Now I've more time on my hands, I'm getting the band back together, so if you want to jam sometime?

Or better, if you start a band, I can see the start of a music festival.

I don't work now

So I have time to travel, learn more about art,

socialize,

I do voluntary work, and also am a mentor for younger entrants to my profession.

I am also a volunteer English teaching assistant in a local school, and a member of the village council

Don't really know how I found time to go to work.

North Herts

We've discussed this as part of those "if we won the lottery" conversations....and first and foremost we'd find some charitable projects/volunteer activities to get involved in.

Other than that there are a heck of a lot of books and boxsets sitting round our house that need to be caught up on, house related projects that need doing, places we've always wanted to visit to see and much more besides....don't think we'll have any problems keeping occupied.

Finish renovating my house. Add a music room. Fill it with instruments. Own a grand piano. Play it lots. Finish the floor to ceiling bookshelves in the study and have a real reading room. And probably still do my actual job but on a part time basis. For starters.
