Has anyone been reading the million plus experiences of sexual assault on women and young girls on Twitter? It's awful. I have my own experiences and it makes me realise it's not just in swinging clubs some guys think it's ok to grab you without asking |

"Is it trending because of the infamous *bleep* and his "grab them by the pussy" comments?"
Much as it's awful I think anything that gets this kind of reaction and builds awareness is a good thing.
Being on these forums has made me increasingly aware of the casual mysogeny that happens daily and how many guys think it's ok to sexually objectify women. It made me look at my actions and thoughts and if that sort of thing can happen to others then that's positive

I haven't been reading it but I reckon almost all of us could relate at least one experience. |

Ironically, I feel safer in swinging clubs. I had my own bad experience a few months back and now it is hard to trust anyone.
At least in a swingers club there is a good chance everyone knows the rules and people there to help if someone steps over the line.

Certain things if defended by certain people in my eyes must be a bad thing, such as anything that was defended by 'Max the sleaze' as I believe they're calling him in jail

I read that Nigel said many men say the same kind of things. I thought he had a point.
Bit stupid of him to think saying that could be any kind of defence though. |

I think he has a point about alpha male boasting and women boast some comments that they wouldn't want made public. But it's the behaviour of grabbing pussy cos trump is a 'star' (use that loosely!) you can't excuse. Women are generally subjected to casual misogyny and touching up. Until a certain age or self confidence some girls/women don't know what to say to the person or are frightened to, or to tell their parents or someone else. |

Very Jimmy Saville.
Hopefully all the trending and reporting will give some women and girls more confidence to speak up. |

I was recently touched inappropriately at a club when I was on my own by someone who sat next to me and struck up a conversation. When I smacked his hand away he stated he hadn't touched me "intimately"...presumably because his fingers weren't actually inside me. I'm quite a streetwise 43 year old, but it was me that got up, got dressed and left, not him.
It is attitudes like that guy (and the idiot in America) that get men a bad name, but also encourage that behaviour in others. How anyone thinks it's ok to treat women like that is anyone's guess - and hopefully the idiot in America will get his comeuppance.

The thing that I find just as disturbing about the video is his flunkie that is giggling along and validating him. Trumps behaviour is awful but the fact that the guy he's boasting to is laughing along means that he agrees with it. All this hand wringing by politicians doesn't alter the base attitude that pervades

Trump is a dinosaur.
His attitude is the kind that was not even acceptable in the 19th century..
No male has the right to violate a female, irrespective of whether in an office or a swingers club.
Unfortunately there will always be those that feel they are irresistible, they aren't..they are just plain sleazy. |

The problem is that while "public figures" don't have anyone calling them out on their behaviour, it will carry on. And women will carry on keeping quiet about it for fear of causing trouble or being accused of lying... and worse, normal guys will continue thinking it's ok. I despair. |

This is the exact reason I play in clubs. You seriously have no idea what could happen. However if I'd played with the before I'd be more comfortable meeting outside the club |

I had a first meet at a guys house and it was well dodgy. He wouldn't take no for an answer on bareback and kept trying. I ended up leaving and felt lucky. However he went on to stalk me online for 18 months. I don't do any private meets now unless I've met someone in a club or social first. Guys who complain when ladies prefer club meets and the cost of getting in, please 'get' we need to be safe. |

Trump as President not only would be a humiliation to the entire fucking world, but he's an enormous threat to women's rights.
He's actually a proper bona-fide piece of shit.
To judge the guy on a completely political level...
.....he only wins if the majority of yanks believe rambling word-vomit and almost endless contradictions.

I do agree with this. I had quite a bad experience in a club in the hot tub and when I went to report the incident he was dealt with straight away. Although it left me nervous for a while I soon got back to normal and won't let it stop me enjoying my club experiences. |

It's one of the points that piss me off the amount of women that say oh they have been touched etc but i bet how many have touched blokes
Both shouldn't be done but I know FULL well that it's not equal and I think the touchingnwomen without permission is seen as more offensive |

I'll admit myself I have groped the odd arse but never to anyone that wouldn't take it how I meant it. Personal space should never be encroached on male or female without permission |

The world (view) changes from generation to generation. What was acceptable(read tolerated/endured) 20/30/40 years ago is no longer acceptable. Some may argue that it was never acceptable but older people know the truth of this. Savile et al would never have been permitted to take the liberties they did in the current generation.

Good that you admitted, and I have done the same. I must say though it's something I really feel that should be equal.
I know if I had touched a woman's fanny without asking in a club I would be kicked out, if I had my cock touched and I went and complained would every club kick her out
Things should be equal |

I rarely go to clubs.
BUT...
I've got to be honest if a woman grabbed my cock in a club and she was hot..
I wouldn't exactly be repulsed.
"

It's why only meet in clubs now.
It's a few years old but it's worth watching Kirsty Wark's Blurred Lines: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01y3pfm/p01ynb9s
Of course, the backlash on this was to call it more feminist propaganda. Similar to the sort of comments and backlash that you see to the Everyday Sexism site.
When women raise these issues it often gets labelled as misandry and the (female and male) apologists for this unacceptable behaviour make it appear that we have just misunderstood some warped compliment.

The world, and in this case, America in particular has become so skewed that the more offensive he is the more he seems to appeal to some people. It's as if all the dystopian films (Hunger Games et al) are now the norm.
The hope I have is that if he is elected there is now enough chance this his own party will be blocking his every move, along with the Democrats, in the Senate. |

Having had it happen at least twice by complete strangers when wearing a kilt it's actually not a fun experience.
