If you found a profile of a couple and you were 99% sure it was fake would you challenge the profile? I've recently found a profile like this and I've known the female through a mutual friend for a number of year and the male is someone she has only been with a short period of time, less than a year.
What makes me think it's fake is the profile is a few months old, not verified by other users or photo, all the public pics are of her and she's identifiable and as she lives near the profile is only on the "who's near" when he is visiting even though a postcode search shows them "living" in another area.

What I'm concerned about is this woman being taken for a mug and not knowing that someone has set a profile up using her pics |

We would try to get some verification from the person using it either way. Most fake profies do tend to drop themselves in it from a great height...at that point you can either take it back to the person being used, take it to the person with the profile but always report it to admin |

If you know the female of the "couple" why not contact her to check, explain you have concerns someone is using her pics falsely etc then if it's fake both of you can report it.

Guess i should also point out i have found a few friends from the past being used on fake profiles on here...photos ripped from other sites and plastered on here.
The lady being used was informed, set up a profile on here, got a phone number and then used legal services to have the person for identity theft and defamation of character.
Using someone elses photos, pretending to be that person is ultimately identity theft, fraud and messages as said person can be taken as defamation of character.
In short the person using the profile is digging a very deep hole for themselves if the lady in the photos wants to press charges |

Come across this when a couple split up and male decides it's best way to get At her by setting up a profile pretending to be her arranging meets or giving out her number kik or what ever and she gets bombarded with offers was on the wrong end of this a while back i thought I was meeting a hot lady got to house knocked on door and her mum came out I had to think on my feet as was obvious I was on a false trail even though the lady in question did pop her head out .when I went back on fab profile had been deleted bit still reported it to fab |

Report suspicion of anything, alongside your level of confidence in the problem, plus any details you know. If the photos were previously public then it could be anyone abusing her. |
