Jeez I've never seen the like of some of the parking I've witnessed today.
Parallel parking that takes ten minutes.
One car using up two spaces : 4 x4 obviously . At an angle ! |

First time i drove after passing my test, just a short drive down the road onto work carpark. Took ne a few attepts to park in a space.....and there were no other cars on tge carpark. They need to teach parking in spaces imo.
Dont be alarmed though. Im much better now |

Reminds me of the joke :
My sex change operation from male to female went really well.
It was so successful, I'm still trying to reverse out of the hospital car park!
(Sorry .. ) |

"My car has 100% tints and a ridiculous spoiler across the back window.
I tend to just make educated guesses about where things are and go for it. "
Are 100% tints legal? Must be a bugger to drive at night |

When I was on honeymoon (now divorced) in Sicily, myself and my ex wife hired a car. We went out for dinner (I drove) and found a parking space on a one way system.
An frail old man with with a cane appeared and said 'residente', which we took to mean it was residents parking. As we got back in the car he held up the traffic behind us allowing me to reverse into a space further back which was now free.
Under pressure, with held up Italian drivers, and a helpful old man to witness. And in a left hand drive car, I pulled off first time, my first ever parallel park on the wrong side of the road. A compete mirror of how we do it in this country.
I was so relieved, could've been a disaster.
We gave that man a few euros for his trouble. |

Oh dear another 4 x 4 driver giving the rest of us with 4 x 4's a bad reputation.
I own up to being able to park and reverse mine. |

"I've always been good at parallel parking, but now, with the amazing lock on my little Fiesta that's like a taxi I am the worlds best parallel parker! "
The exception that proves...
Sorry, but from a non-scientific study of bad parking episodes (a car that plainly didn't fit the space etc) I must say it is generally a woman!
I am brilliant at it, but then, being left-handed, my spacial awareness is superlative. |

I can get my 4x4 in spaces where most Fiesta/Micra drivers couldn't.
To be honest it's generally the smaller the car the worst the parking.
I put that down to many (not all) small car drivers lacking in confidence, which is why they drive small cars and not economy as they will tell you... |

Nah, it's that the driving position is higher in 4 x 4s and so it's easier to see.
I find them much easier to park than cars.
Also, I can parallel park with a 12' trailer..... |

Very confident Micra driver here and an excellent Parker..in fact had comments from passers by on my skills. |

Now that is impressive!
I had to reverse a horse trailer up a long curved driveway which was only a couple of feet wider than the trailer, and was up a hill!!
It was dark by the time I finally got it parked, and I had to stop and let the burning smell from my clutch ease several times |

That's why I said "many not all".
There are drivers of all levels driving all sorts of vehicles.
I saw a Mini One struggle to get round a broken down bus a while back.... Straight after a scaffold lorry had gone through the gap with no problem... |

I know I'm not the only one this has happened to, but that moment you have just parked up in the car park, only to automatically slam your foot on the brake because you can sense the car is moving backwards, only to realise that the car next to you is the one pulling forward. |

"I would like to feel I can park, as I teach people to drive but I must admit sometimes I'm not 100% perfect between the lines "
But everyone knows, driving instructors are pretty much the worst drivers on the road... |
