I loves a heated debate I do! 
Lone assassin or part of a bigger conspiracy by the dark forces of the US establishment to bring in a new President more aligned to their interests?
Lots of great minds have debated this over the years, lets finally solve this once and for all on a casual sex forum...
So, what *really* happened?? .. |

There is no way Lee Harvey Oswald got off those three shots in that short time with that accuracy. This all points to George Bush senior plotting against JFK on the day it happened George Bush claimed to be miles away somewhere else yet he was pictured leaning against a wall close by he knew something was going to happen Oswald was a scapegoat which is why he was silenced. |

Kennedy was killed by the FBI, CIA, Castro, the Russians, the Mafia, the Teamsters AND a cabal of jealous husbands.
President shot 94 times from 12 different angles.

I believe it was orchestrated by Lyndon Johnson and carried out by Lee harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby. The night before it happened Johnson told a girl he was with that she would want to see the news the next day. Also in the weeks leading upto it Oswald akd Ruby were seen together numerous times. |

I believe Oswald was the shooter and that the shots were fired from the Book Depository. I've seen the evidence and the tests that have been carried out regarding this and I've no reason to doubt that the shots were fired from there. There's been lots written about how the shot was impossible, magic bullets etc. but that's simply not the case.
Now why Oswald did what he did we'll probably never know. Same goes for Jack Ruby. We'll probably never know why he chose to shoot Oswald. There's just some things we'll never have answers for. And that's where the conspiracy theories step in... |

everyone has their own opinion I cant see how Oswald got off the three shots so accurately in that short time there had to be more people involved, why was Oswald himself assassinated other than to keep him quiet why did George Bush lie about his whereabouts? But like you said we will never know the truth. |

Random Saturday night bump of the thread - there have been many documentaries etc about the killing, some seem to suggest that the lone killer theory is feasible (even the 'magic bullet' under specific circumstances) - others suggest dark government forces were at work. I really don't know what to believe as I'm just a simple country boy.. |

The obvious and simplest answer to all this seems to have gotten buried under a million conspiracy theories, and that is simply that Oswald was just a lone nutjob who fancied getting his 15 minutes of fame by taking some shots at the president. It's been proved you could actually get those shots off. The fact that he managed to hit what he did was probably down to luck as much as anything. How often since have we seen lone gunmen wandering through a school or through the streets, shooting at random strangers or even government leaders. There doesn't always have to some great conspiracy behind it. Sometimes it's just a screwed up individual who goes a little crazy.
The fact that Oswald was killed himself not long after the event has meant we never got to hear his side of things. We'll never know what was running through his brain that day. That in itself leaves things open to a lot of crackpot theories.
But I know no more than anyone else when it comes to what actually did happen. I don't suppose we'll ever really know. |

The shots weren't that difficult for a competent rifleman, but I don't believe it was just Oswald, or that he necessarily fired the fatal shot..

That's not the official line though.
The last us government enquiry in the 70s by the us government said there was most likely a conspiracy between 2 or more individuals.
So Oswald's one, who's the other or others?.
The poster above talked about lone gunmen, yes lots of lone gunmen do things for many reasons but they nearly always do it to prove a point they harbour on, on that point Oswald denied any involvement.... So what's his motive? |

There's an interesting documentary on you tube. It's called jfk to 9/11 long but very well put together. Definitely worth a viewing.
