Easter just around the corner!

If someone states athletic on their profile I expect to see a 6 pack etc especially on here

I think there's a lack of categories which leads to a poor description of one's own body type.

Best way is to look at photo's and make your own opinion.

I think it's difficult to pigeonhole the wide spectrum of body types into five or six neat categories. I've listed myself as "Athletic", but I'm uncomfortable with the label. I don't think it's a good fit. It seems to suggest a more slender frame than mine. Then again, neither is "Large", which is pretty much a polite way of saying "Fat". "Average"? Nah - too nondescript. Doesn't actually mean anything!

"Don't think you need a six pack to be atherletic"

Athletic to me means being physically fit and toned, not necessarily a six pack but certainly not a party 7

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

Their profile their choices, who knows it's down to perception theirs and yours.

if you don't think their descriptors are appropriate accurate and most importantly attraction to them..., you just move on

I just list maself as average on here as I have done for the past 10 yrs. I might have put on the odd couple of pounds and then lost them again. I'm about 14 stone and happy with the way I look

I put myself down as athletic because that's how I feel.

But it's totally subjective because most men I know have far larger muscles than me, can run faster/further, etc.

"I changed mine from athletic to average after a previous thread like this "

I did too

To me, being athletic doesn't necessarily mean a 6 pack, but a fit mind and body.

Athletic has a wide spectrum of body types... From the gym bunnies to the rugby type build. I just look at the pics ( if they have them) rather than what body type the say they have

Just go by the pics. I describe myself as athletic, but I'm certainly not ripped/6 pack. More muscular with padding, but that's not an option. Plus I am way above average fitness for my age, hence athletic..who really cares, use the pics?

It's a pity that the definition of athlete isn't just one body type.

And that the UK average is becoming more overweight. The average today is rather different to ten years ago.

What I have seen with photos is how someone's body shape can vary enormously in a short space of time. Though some upload photos when they were more in their prime
