YouTube. There are thousands of tutorials, I don't wear make up very often, so don't get the regular practice to be very good at it, but the tutorials are a good help. Decent set of brushes helps, x |

Yes you tube is great.
You just need to practice practice practice. Lots of different looks. Take pictures. See what looks best on you.
Basic rules. Test your foundation on your face, not your hand. Powder before you blush. Blend eyeshadow. Blot lipstick. Use primer.
Have fun |

For foundation it depends on your skin type but if you have issues with shaving shadow go for something that's thick such as Estée Lauder double wear foundation as it will give you the coverage you need.
I echo the above you tube is amazing place to look. Also maybe see if you can find someone local to give you a make over? I used to have a tv friend who's make up I used to do. There are plenty of woman that would have no issues doing this for you I'm sure and if you feel you can visit the make up counters in somewhere like debenhams- you wouldn't be the first so hold your head high and let them help with colours etc to suit your skin tone Xx |

OP I was the same a few years back. So I just practiced and practiced. Now I can do a half decent job pretty quickly. Actually I was in a club last weekend and a lovely young lady commented how good my makeup was. That really made my day.
