Currently reading a Teenage fiction book called Brother in the Land by Robert Swindells. About survival after a nuclear war bit bleak if I am honest.
Prior to that I read a book called Fat Chance by Nick Spalding very funny. |

"Open University book on Advanced Mathematics "
I had three exams on that subject. Mine were based on engineering and construction related advanced mathematics. Passed them all thankfully. Hate the kind of maths involving letters and diagrams . Wasn't easy I admit. |

"Have been trying to read a Jack Reacher book for a while, it's not really grabbing me "
Bear with with. They do get better. If you've not watched he film yet, don't bother! After completing the book, you'll be very disappointed to see Tom Cruise running across the screen. |

I've read the 1st 5, but Without Fail... I just can't get into it.
Cruise was all wrong for Reacher, about a foot too short for a start |

Just finished The Girl on the Train on a work trip.
Build was okay but slightly disappointed towards the end really. Especially after all of the hype.
It's sparked something in me though so I think I'll start reading more fiction. |

The Accident - C L Taylor
Only read a couple of chapters so far.
I've just finished Girl on the train, which I wasn't that impressed with considering the amount of people that raved about it. |

two books at the current moment...
one about the true accounts/methods and madness of serial killers..
the other is a book about the rise and the fall off the roman empire..
always good to read before I go to sleep or before I head off to do a night shift at work. |

"How to commit murder and get away with it "
Lives of the Great Poisoners..?
(Mr Pugh in Under Milkwood!)
I once arranged to meet a lady at a pub in Oxford. When I arrived she was reading a sensationalist book about female serial killers. It did make me pause. Luckily we got on and never looked back, except to joke about it. |
