Batman chose his name due to bats being the thing he's scared of the most.
Based on this logic, what would your superhero name be?

Yeah he was. He had a phobic association with them because of their presence at his parents' murder.

Batman did not have a 'phobic association' with Bats. He chose the bat as his symbol because he believed criminals to be a cowardly and superstitious bunch, and wanted to inspire terror in them.
This tied in the stories of Bob Kane, batman's original creator and the Dark Knight returns by Frank Miller. |
