Does this get on anyone else's nerves - just installed Skype and it wanted to install Bing and other rubbish I don't want - need to be careful to tick off these options but it is annoying I think.

Do NOT install Bing by "Command Prompt".

It is an absolute bastard to get rid of.

And another thing Google Maps used to be awesome and suddenly it changed to a shit version, suspiciously like Bin Maps.

You had the option to roll back and tell them why and there was a forum all saying the version is shit, yet we still got the shit version and now its like it or lump it.

yes I noticed all these programmes with skype, just give them a go or chance I,ve had no Issues yet on mine thou I must admit I prefer not haveing bing there did you mention Internet explorer as well? I only use chrome now.

Skype is a Microsoft service so naturally, will want to get you to use Bing (also a Microsoft service) as it's another one of their revenue streams.

Various companies do deals with each other to package together free to use software for advertising revenue.

My advice is to always check what you're installing before installing it and in this day and age, search engine browser toolbars are entirely, entirely redundant.

Just to say I,ve not downloaded any but still use skype

i found an app that automatically stops mcafee downloads when upgrading adone flash.

just not gonna use skype any more. can't stand bing, it installs itself like a trojan.
