known as 'whispering' ted's voice was the man who voice graces tv screens up and down the country.
got the name 'whispering' because of his hush voice but in them days he had to whisper so not to disturbed the players.
helped start the programme pot black on the bbc and was commentating on snooker before many had colour tv's.
another famous part of the sporting world who passed away today.
