sitting on the sunny airfield, had the training... got the kit on... and now waiting for the plane...Life can be exciting... and all for a good charitable cause...
Anybody done sky diving/ parachuting etc and liked it?

used to do it alot, fully qualified instructor, got into it like you do in a bar me a guy who was in town for a free fall show, deland florida where i used to live, i agreed to go up the next day and so with hangover found myself in a small plane with a big door, never looked back but havnt done it in years, have fun you will love it |

I know, that is the difficult bit, you got to get through the training and the certification... and not exactly cheap |

Whilst in the Army they asked if I fancied it. I said too right, they then sent me for 2 weeks to Cyprus for the course - such hardship lol
The scariest bit was the 2nd jump as we kneew what was coming. Also having to pack your own chute by the end of the course made you very careful.

Yes done it a lot i have 112 jumps in my log book done it in canada germany and america the little perks you get for being in the army all jumps were for free |

My daughter is dying to do it, but she has to be 16, so she has a year and a half to wait. So instead for now, she is doing a 160ft bungee jump, for teenage cancer trust in east anglia. She has more guts than me thats for sure.x |

Yeh, done it lots. Its my job!
Great fun. Cant beat the feeling when you jump out the back of a Herc
Bit different doing it fully loaded, with a weapon, in the dark!

Sadly still to do a skydive but I did all the Mill para training at Abingdon. Normally you do a 'Basket' jump from under a balloon and then do a plane jump. I did it the other way round and the basket jump frit me to death...
Always laughed at my Flight Sargeant saying just before we went on first jump "I can never see the point in baling out of a perfectly sound aircraft..."
So: Any offers for a FabS skydive weekend ? |

There is no way I d do a bungee jump for a couple of reasons...one being the damage it can doto your spine...but Skydiving..here we come again |

I did a bungee jump a couple of years ago, it was only 160ft, I want to do the 300ft one, which is the highest in the UK.
Last year I did my first skydive too, raised money for an MS charity. I'm desperate to do it again. Just can't beat that feeling!!!
