Hi we've been looking for a nice inexpensive corset for Mrs. Want one that laces up and has nice shape as a trial to see if they are comfortable. Done the usual eBay search but not many to our liking in size 20-22.

Any help much appreciated

I keep recommending them (I don't work for them honest) but Corset Deal have a great selection in waist sizes from 22 inches to 53 inches if that helps ? Sorry, I don't know what waist size 20 - 22 would be ?

Corsets UK is where I get mine from, and I'm that size.

Basically you measure your waist, subtract 4 inches and that is the size you order.

If you want a corset then you shouldn't be shopping on anything by dress size.

There's loads of online stores that explain about corset sizing depends on if you want to tight lace and reduce the waist or have it fit as is.

Once you understand then you can tailor searches on leaves like eBay and Amazon better

Corset size go mainly off your bust size. E.g if your a 34dd then you would order a size 36 as rhe cup size on a corset tends to run from a to d.

...Up on the Downs

I just saw a pic of the most fabulous pink corset on my fb - turns out it is part of the current V&A exhibition on the history of underwear!!

And me. I usually go more than 4 inches smaller though, but I like quite an exaggerated look and I'm squishy.

Any tips on lacing them up on your own? I struggle to get the tight laced up look.

Not really beyond trial and error! I position the laces, then lie down on my back to do up the hook and eyes at the front, then tighten up the laces from the middle outwards. I haven't worn any of mine for ages though, so I've probably lost the knack!

Patience and a door knob helps. But I have been podgier than normal recently so haven't worn one in a while.
