I am down to four, thankfully.
The Lollipop Shoes - Joanne Harris (I actually found it in a charity shop the day after I finished Chocolat for the 2678th time)
Starter For Ten - David Nicholls
The Slap - Christos Tsiolkas
Thanks For The Memories - Ceceila Ahern |

Currently "Dictator" by Robert Harris. I'm putting it off because it's the third part in a trilogy, he spent years writing it, and now I can't remember how the last one finished.
I keep meaning to look up a synopsis on Wikipedia.

Just read 'Deviant' by Veronica Roth and now ready to scour the charity shops for 'Insurgent' and 'Allegiant'
Also started the second GOT book 'Clash of Kings' but that will be the toilet/bath read as it's a hefty tome. |

I'm about to finish The Crow Road by Iain Banks.
I have a mountain of books to read next, and even more that I want to buy.
A fantasy meet/date scenario would be browsing a bookshop, second hand ones are wonderful, and having stolen kisses against the bookshelves. |

I set myself the challenge of reading all of the Discworld books about this time last year and haven't even read one yet.
That should keep me busy for a while though. |

Lib., this seems to be a common theme with your challenges to yourself. Set yourself the challenge to read one Discworld book and then take it from there.

Gosh, I got turned on just reading that!
I've finally managed to finish Hunger by Knut Hamsun which was a wonderful Second-hand bookshop purchase and one of the most extraordinary reading experiences I've had - akin to reading Crime and Punishment for the first time.
Next up on the list: Yvegeny Yevtushenko's autobiography - A Precocious Life, which should be fascinating |

Never liked autobiographies, but I'm reading Guy Martins and loving it, also currently reading Gurkha by Kailash Limbu as well... sometimes don't read a book for a few months and then end up reading two or three at once. |

I struggled from the walking 60 odd miles in a day carrying a child, a violin and something else, all the way to dying from 'going outside and getting the bottom of her dress a bit damp'. I preferred Anne's books of the three of them. |

The Crow Road is excellent.
I've just read The First Casualty by Ben Elton and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've got a pile of books next to my bed that I want to get through: People's Act of Love by James Meek (about a small town in Siberia just before the Bolsheviks take it over)
Wolf Hall - Hilary Mantel
Time and Time Again - Ben Elton
Britain Begins - Barry Cunliffe (non-fiction, about the various peoples who colonized Britain over the last 12000 years). |

I adored Wolf Hall, but found "Bring Up The Bodies" a bit of a chore for some reason. It's just as beautifully written, but I disappointingly found myself getting rather bored.
I really loved "A Place of Greater Safety" too by Hilary and recommend it thoroughly |

I don't really have a reading list. I have over 3000 books on my kindle, another 25,000 on disks, and I've read about 300 of them.
Sometimes I just flick through and pick a book at random, if it doesn't have me within the first chapter then I delete it and try another. |

They are a bit long winded, not something I could read hours on end, I was doing ok until I got to part 2 of this book and I've totally lost interest. Think this one is classed as book 5 but I bought it in 2 parts and I think book 3 was in 2 parts as well. Hoping to pick them back up when I have more time to focus on the back ground stories |

"Just finished The Girl on the Train. Hope to see the film now.
Loved that book, wonder what the film will be like, sometimes they're a disappointment.
It is. Film was alright, not a patch on the book though.
The book was ok. Don't really see what all the fuss is about."
Average at best. Predictable. |

"I've just finished Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee. It's SF and quite strange and quite wonderful. Id recommend it to anyone especially fans of Iain Banks. I've now got the stress of choosing my next book...
Cheers-just put that in my basket"
Hope you enjoyed it xxx |
