If the socket has come loose you can buy ugly in chargers which you put the battery itself in.
They are universal as you can move the pins to match the contacts on your battery |

is it a samsung? Because..... I used to have one of those and I even sent it back to said south korean electronics company; who couldn't find a fault; for some reason it was the usb connectors that were "wearing' (I have no idea how), so before trying anything else try a new usb cable (about £4) it may just work |

It is a new cable I only got it a week ago and my daughters isnt working in it eitherr. I just ordered a coardless off ebay but wont be here until 5th |
