The requirements for potential play mates are, in my view, becoming so exacting particularly when deciding on height.
A minimum requirement of 5' 11" (in old money) seems to be an example of those exacting requirements. If a respondent told a little white lie about such delicate statistics and was only 5' 10" how would the specifier know? The problem is exacerbated if the respondent arrives in Cuban heels and whilst dressed meets the prescribed standard but once disrobed doesn't.
Seemingly that last inch could be a deal breaker! |

I know exactly how tall I am, and that's how I can tell at a glance whether someone is lying about their height. As a rule of thumb I assume anyone below 5'10 has added 2 inches, anyone 5'11 to 6'3 has added an inch, and anyone above 6'5 has subtracted an inch.
In the grand scheme of things, obviously an inch isn't that important. But if I'm kissing someone smaller than me, it feels weird and I don't like it, so it makes quite a big difference to me. |

If you put 5,11 you will still get 5,9 or 5,10 turning up and thats probably fine but if you put 5,9 you will probably get 5,7s turning up and so on, so where do you draw the line?  |

I like tall men, by that I suppose I mean as near to 6' as possible, preferably over but I have had to compromise on that a couple of times.
I wouldn't ever meet anyone shorter than me because kissing a short arse just feels wrong!!!!  |

Mine does, yes. Lie to me about that and I will walk out on principle.
And I agree with Ruby too - I am not as tall as she is, but not only is there a height that 'feels' right to me, there is a question of scale too.
I am a big strapping girl and I like my men to be bigger-boned than me, have bigger hands, stronger arms, etc, etc. if someone is actually 5'9" and slim, they may well feel all wrong to me and I will have just wasted their time as well as mine.  |

Everybody I see is shorter than me, nevermind meet. I sometimes feel like I need to move to Sweden where the men are tall.
Do you have any idea how depressing it is standing in queue at Santander and being able to check all those folk in front of me, for dandruff, without even trying.

I met a man from a different site who had his height as 5ft 8, which is my height. When we met he was at least 2 inches shorter than me, which I don't mind, but I was looking out for someone taller. |

Pretty much what RubyWoo said. I know how tall I am (5ft 8.5) and therefore can tell straight away if a guy isn't tall enough for me. I don't like kissing someone shorter.
I love that Beard is so tall I have to reach up to kiss him. Even in heels because he's a giant!

I would know. I know my height almost to the millimetre. My boyfriend is 6'5" so I know how short I am in comparison to him when I am bare foot to when I am in heels. I know the exact height of the heels on my shoes
Believe me I know when I meet a height fibber And yes, for me that is a deal-breaker |

There has to be a line somewhere..... no matter where it is someone will moan about being 1/4 inch under it!
Just look for other profiles that match your stats....it's that simple really.

So long as he is taller than me I'm ok... however i am always wearing heels with a minimum 4in and up to 6in. I would feel silly towering over someone 5'6 while I am 5'11 in heels.

I know exactly how tall I am having been measured recently in the Doctors surgery...they have a machine that measures a few vital statistics every time you visit...height, weight and BP. I'm 5'9" - 175 cms and weigh 13st 10 right now. I see absolutely no point in lying about it. I bald, overweight with a face that is an acquired taste, usually acquired when I was much younger. |

I use one of those at my gym - I do lie about my height at times, as my profile says 6 ft 1 but it varies on there from 6 ft 0.8 ins to 6 ft 1.2 ins depending on when I take a measurement |
